Our guests have been having a great time aboard Rakoa for over a dozen years, cruising and fishing the Auckland harbours and outlying islands.

Rakoa's proud owner and skipper is Murray Gatt, our fully qualified Commercial Launch Master. He's backed by two similarly qualified skippers, Marc Taylor and Richard Wright. All three have considerable experience and are the very definition of cool, calm and collected.


The Rakoa team are experts when it comes to charter boat fishing. They know the best fishing spots and are there to ensure everyone enjoys a fun and exciting time aboard Rakoa.

What's more, our catering is superb! Our food is always fresh and made for our guests on the day. We also welcome self-catering and offer the use of our galley, barbeque and hangi facilities free of charge.

As with any professional operation, we take our guests' safety very seriously. We'll conduct a short briefing when all are aboard, much as you might expect when taking a national flight.
